Works for me on both sks.dnsalias.net and
keyserver.thedungeon.dnsalias.net (web and gpg search)
thomas:~$ gpg --keyserver sks.dnsalias.net --search 0xd14f1b25
gpg: searching for "0xd14f1b25" from HKP server sks.dnsalias.net
Keys 1-2 of 2 for "0xd14f1b25"

(2) Thomas Sjogren <address@hidden>
1024 bit key 114AA85C, created 2003-04-13
but why the need of 0x before the (sub)key?
