That error message is perhaps unduly alarming. What happened is that
you interrupted it while it was updating its in-memory copy of the
PTree. It saw that break, and decided it couldn't continue to operate
safely, so it shut down. The integrity of the on-disk version of the
PTree was never in doubt.
