ok, I'll use the first name configure script finds for the <name>
and put a message in configure saying
Default audio output method... <name>

This I disagree :D.
configure is suppose to be the tool to avoid such things like:
#ifdef my_audio_method
do something
#endif

it will be configured to "alsa" then.
If you don't like it, you need to use --with-audio-output-method to
reconfigure to oss

Is it acceptable?
