Yeah it is a Gentoo issue. Since we stopped using the Common Lisp
Controller, you've got follow the guide at
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/common-lisp/guide.xml
If you emerge dev-lisp/gentoo-init though, and add
(load "/etc/gentoo-init.lisp")
to your ~/.cmucl-init.lisp, then
(asdf:oos 'asdf:load-op :stumpwm)
should work fine.
