I have (setq *normal-border-width* 2) in my ~/.stumpwmrc but for windows
with hints like xterm where the window is alway n × charwidth wide the
extra space is filled with the border color instead of the screen
background color.

In case of a small border with a bright color this can look pretty
disturbing.
