I'm impressed at how well it handles them; if I wanted the panel at the
top it would work perfectly.

I have
 (setf *mode-line-screen-position* :bottom)
in my .stumpwmrc, but what happens doesn't seem to depend on the value
of *mode-line-screen-position*.
