[Synaptic-devel] New release 0.39

Dear Friends,


a new version of synaptic is available! Version 0.39 is a minor update
release only. I tested it on my debian box quite well, I hope it works
as well on rpm based systems :) Please let me know about problems (but
please note that I'll be away until Monday and won't be able to fix
thinks before). 

Here are the NEWS:
 - japanese translation!
 - "Installed Files" tab (debian only)
 - reworked search dialog, it's possible to search for
   "name, version, description, maintainer" now
 - better checking if a pkg is not installable
 - location of the synaptic.desktop file has changed to better
   integrate with the desktop enviroment
 - added tooltips to status filter tab
 - the interface gets locked if a tree-row is expanded 

I'm interessted in your opinion in the last three items. The synaptic
gnome menu entry moved to "Desktop preferences/System tools" and is
also available via nautilus at the "system-settings:///" url. 

The interface locking is something I'm not sure about. I wonder if I
should make it a config options. Anyway, I'm interessted in your
opinions :)
