[Synaptic-devel] call for testing

Hi,


I plan to release a new version in the next couple of days. It would
be wonderfull if someone of you could test the latest version and see
if it works (rpm testers are espcially welcome). 

Checkout the source via the subversion server:
$ svn co https://oops.kerneljanitors.org/repos/synaptic/

Or get the current snapshot from:
http://people.debian.org/~mvo/synaptic/testing/synaptic-0.44pre1.tar.gz


Beside bugfixes and translation updates there will be two new
features: a interactive search and a second alternative main layout
(selectable via the preferences window). 

Some progress in the speed of synaptic can be expected when gtk 2.4
comes out (scheduled for the 1. Nov). See
