Dear Michael,
I had another quick view at the .pot file. Please find hereafter my remarks
(JMP). When/if fixed, I will translate into French, which will help us
identify potential problems. Translating is like "debugging" a .pot file...
Cheers,
Jean-Michel

JMP: capital letter
JMP: capital letter? I hope you do not display "Error: could not open
configuration directory %s.", which would break RTL languages.
It is easier for a translator to understand that the message is an error. So I
would prefer "Error: could not create configuration directory %s", quite
simple and very effective.

JMP: I don't know what to think about this sentence. Do you build a sentence
out of it? I would brefer: "Packages which need to be upgraded", "Packages
which need to be removed", etc... There is no way out in some languages.

You should use variable placehorders and find a way to remove spaces.
