 it is really difficult to overestimate such option, however this column
shows the source of the most recent version of package only. But
sometimes you want to force some specific version. Especially in FC
where you have all this mess with repositories, which are not following
the standards, but still are maintaining some useful packages. Thus, it
would be useful that in "version" tab, not only the available versions
of the packages, but also the repositories providing them were listed.
Actually, I believe synaptic had such a feature in the past,but the
developers have taken it off after changing the interface. I believe
that in debian-based distribution they really don't need this feature,
but under some other linuxes life is not that simple...
