Dear Technical Volunteers,

We are in the process of updating one of our distribution CDs - the
GNU Software for MS-Windows. [Current product description at
http://www.gnu.org/doc/windows.html]

We need help with verifying the functionality of some programs we
would like to include. Please try them out for us, and send a report
on what you find to address@hidden

GCJ [http://gcc.gnu.org/]

Check to see if the gcj compiler (a sub-set of the GCC compiler)
creates *native* code, not Java bytecode.

DELPHI/PASCAL [History of Delphi at
http://delphi.about.com/cs/azindex/a/dhistory.htm]

Are the existing free Pascal compilers adequate enough to be able to
create Windows binary executables from scratch? Which version or
flavor of Delphi/free Pascal should we use? Some additional runtime
support libraries may need to be found (or at least identified) before
we can include these platforms. If so, which ones?

NETBEANS [www.netbeans.org]

Is the program able to easily run under a Windows environment? Any
bugs/problems/installation issues?

Thanks for all feedback and reports!
