Oops ! I believe a case of ill-timing has occurred.  David quoted me and
commented on #1400 and #1439 that there is an update pending, however, I
have already updated the patches.  Sorry, David !

To clarify:

As you can see from the comment history for both #1400 and #1439, the
comment "Updated [...] to work with latex-needs%" precedes your quote
and comment reguarding a pending update.  This means that I had already
completed and submitted the update at the time when you read my email
and quoted it on savannah.

Again, I'm sorry about the mis-timing.
