Hi,
The next version of TeXmacs will come with a notion of
secure scheme scripts. The actual program which checks
whether a script is secure might still change though
(maybe there exists an elegant way to produce secure scripts
using the module system, but I do yet want to count on that).
Secure scripts are very interesting in combination with
markup and extern plugins: the body of a macro may now
become a real scheme program or computed by a plugin.
Secure commands can *not* be added through the style files,
but rather through the initialization program of a plugin.
This again emphasizes that plugins are the central concept
for extensions.
In the directory $TEXMACS_PATH/examples/scripts,
you will find many simple examples on how to create plugins.
In version 1.0.1.18 you will find the "secure" plugin
which demonstrates the use of secure scripts.
Best wishes, Joris
