Yes, that is what you said in your text, but you also said that
the scheme BACKQUOTE really meant LEFT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK and
when replying I forgot the name LEFT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK,
so I wrote BACKQUOTE.

I am sorry, I understood from your message that the GRAVE ACCENT
is character 0 in the Cork encoding (and that this caused other problems),
so ` is certainly not the GRAVE ACCENT in plain TeXmacs text.

I have *absolutely no time* to deal with font encoding issues at
this moment. Therefore, I suggest to import BACKQUOTE, QUOTATION MARK,
LEFT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK, GRAVE ACCENT, and whatever else as `.
We will deal with this problem in a more appropriate way later.
