I believe I've examined these warnings in the past and they are not a
problem: related to the ifdef spaghetti in parts of the code or else
due to differences in function call argument and return types between
Windows and POSIX functions.
I hope to spend some time cleaning up some of this spaghetti in the
next release, by removing some obsolete ports etc. Hopefully these
warnings can be resolved then.
