[ToutDoux-list] configuring toutdoux having gdkPixbuf problem

Dear Toutdoux people,

I am trying to compile toutdoux on my machine which is running Red Hat Linux 
7.1.

The first step is to configure it.

I compiled GdkPixbuf on my machine, version 0.11.0 I think it was, I got it 
from a tucows site as a tar file.....

But when I run the configure routine it crashes when it gets to the 
gdkpixbuf bit.....

I found that it put some of the gdkpixbuf lib files into /usr/local/lib so I 
edited the ld.conf directory or whatever it is and added /usr/local/lib to 
it and then tried configuring again but it didn't work....

I also tried simply copying the /usr/lib/local files to /usr/lib but it 
still crashed.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I notice that the toudoux website seems to use 0.9.0 version of gdkpixbuf... 
 Could this be something to do with my problem.

What do the plugins do?  Do they work on browsers e.g. Netscape?

Is this a separate version of the program that runs from within a browser?
