[tpop3d-discuss] configure script and maildir support

I just downloaded 1.5.2 and did the following:

./configure --enable-auth-mysql --enable-mailbox-maildir 
--disable-snide-comments --disable-mailbox-bsd --sysconfdir=/etc/tpop3d

Then after compiling, 'tpop3d -h' still only lists bsd under "Available mailbox 
drivers" and does NOT list maildir. I had to edit configuration.h to get the 
desired result. Am I missing something?
