I believe, Tramp did accept the prompt. It is now waiting for the result of

16:23:27.357411 tramp-send-command (6) # exec env ENV='' PROMPT_COMMAND='' 
PS1=\$\  PS2='' PS3='' /bin/sh

Could you, please, call this command (starting at "exec ...") on the
remote machine, and show me the result?
