Follow-up Comment:
Wrong fix, we are not reacting to an SDL event here, we are processing
changes, hence the function should be renamed to "process_event". Thanks for
spotting the inheritance issue.

renamed leader_preview_pane::process() to
leader_preview_pane::handle_event(SDL_Event const & event) in order to get
the leader image updated.
