@wtautz Hey, please check/test the branch 'tmp-extend-download-attr'. It 
implements `--download-attr=[strippath|usepath]. No value or `strippath` is the 
same as currently. `usepath` takes the path as is - pretty dangerous and 
documented as such.

Let me know what you think. If it works OK for you, I'll merge it into master.
