Yes: you can tick 'Auto-Save Games' in the Save Game Options dialog,
and specify a file there. All games will then automatically be appended

specified file when they finish.

Currently there the default proposal for the name of the save file is 
hard-coded.
But it could be an idea to make this user-configurable through an 
option. For the
tournament file defining engine-engine tourneys such an option already 
exists,
and can indeed make use of date and time components.

'Time' is not a standard PGN tag. I guess XBoard could be equiped with 
an option
to generate such a time tag. Not sure what it is supposed to contain, 
however.
The time that the game started? Or finished? Or was saved?
