Fsfe-uk -- Free Software and the United Kingdom

About Fsfe-uk
English (USA)

The general discussion list for UK people interested in Free Software, the Association For Free Software (AFFS), the FSF Europe and related UK activities. It is a companion to the general discussion@fsfeurope list. For matters concerning Northern Ireland only, there is a fsfe-ni list.

Please feel free to use this list for announcements, questions and discussion topics, but please try to keep it positive and polite. Pro-free-software political UK news is welcome. Debating definitions of "free software" is not.

Please send text/plain and if you opt for the digest, change the subject line when you reply (as described at the top of the digest). In general, try to keep subject lines accurate and try to write the sort of message that you'd be happy if it appeared on the letters page of a national newspaper or magazine.

Non-subscriber emails (and other emails held for review) will usually be sent to this list a bit after noon each day.

Websites and bloggers may find the gmane archive more useful for linking, because its comment system is open to all.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Fsfe-uk Archives.
