I committed the AH_HEADER patch, and added an entry to NEWS:

+** AH_HEADER
+  New macro which is defined to the name of the first declared config header
+  or undefined if no config headers have been declared yet.

I'm not sure AH_HEADER is the right name, so it might change if someone has
a better suggestion.  (Ralf, I'd notify you in that case.)
