Worked fine. I was able to create "bar". (logged in as root)

Okay my setup for directories is: /usr/src/automake

So the testSbuDir is at /usr/src/automake/tests/testSubDir

Here is the output of "ls testSubDir/foo-0.1:

Makefile.am
Makefile.in
aclocal.m4
configure
configure.in
depcomp
install-sh
missing
mkinstalldirs
