Have I got an installation problem????? |

Can anyone clafiy if this indicates an installation problem?
It seems to me that aclocal expects to find files in
/usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal, but there are none, but
instead there are some in /usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal-1.7
(note the -1.7 appended on the end).
If this is the problem I can easily make a symbolic link from
/usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal-1.7 to
/usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal
but why it should have happened I have no idea.
% aclocal --print-ac-dir
/usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal
% ls -l /usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal
ls: /usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal: No such file or
directory
% ls -l /usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share
total 2
drwxr-xr-x 2 root other 1024 Mar 21 18:30 aclocal-1.7
drwxr-xr-x 4 root other 512 Mar 21 18:30 automake-1.7
% ls -l /usr/local/stow/automake-1.7/share/aclocal-1.7
total 76
