The git "next" branch of Automake, from which test release 1.10b came,
has now been merged into the "master" branch. That means, all the work
that happened on these branches:
  je-silent
  ad-parallel-tests
  mh-vala-support
  next

is now present in the master branch. This has been done because there
were no significant regressions in "next" any more, and remaining bugs
in new functionality may just as well be fixed alongside other changes.

We're aware of a few non-regression bugs still, mostly but not all in
new functionality. There might be another test release when done with
them, not sure yet; but anyway it would come from the "master" branch
now.

The three public feature branches named above will likely be deleted
soon. I'm not sure yet whether the "next" branch should be kept in sync
with the "master" branch for a while until people have switched over.

Now, the only real holdup for 1.11 is the rewrite of the license
exception for the move to GPLv3+. We have hopes that there will be
updates on this soon.

Please direct replies to the automake list.

Cheers,
Ralf
