Hi

I started adding some m4 macros to my program, that I put in the m4
directory in my sources, and that will be installed during the make
install.

I then added

aclocaldir = $(datadir)/aclocal
aclocal_DATA = ax_boost_base.m4 ax_boost_regex.m4
Unless you're Boost, you shouldn't be installing these.
well, but my library needs boost regex library, so I was planning to
write an autoconf macro that not only searches for my library but also
for boost regex library...

Hi Lorenzo,

there is already a test for boost regex in the autoconf macro archive:
ax_boost_regex

See http://autoconf-archive.cryp.to/ and
http://randspringer.de/boost/index.html

Yes I know, and these are those files; I was thinking of distributing since my macro (for my library) relies on boost regex, so I wanted to check also for boost regex library inside my macro
