Folks:
I hate to bother you... But, on the doc page for Anubis, it says "if you have
any ... questions... email here"...
That being saud,. here goee...
I need to send email through a smart relay (my ISP). I can do this easily
using most graphical mailers (*KMail, Netscape, etc.) because they have
authenticated SMTP support.
My problem is I need to be able to do the same thing with the good old mail(1)
command so I can email the outside world from the command line.
I have wrestled with sendmail, for days now. And cannot get it to work as I
wish.
So I saw anubis, and thought it could help me.
I am running FreeBSD 4.8, and have anubis built.
I have read all the docs I can find on anubis, and am not clear how to install
it. I have configured it, but do not know how to incorporate it into the
MUA/MTA chain. Do I do that in /etc/inetd.conf? Do I mess with
/etc/mail/mailer.conf?
I could really use some help here. Also - if anubis will nto do what I want -
please let me know...
I have been trying to solve this problem for over a week now, and any/all
suggestions woudl certainly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
