Torture test failures

Hi,

I am reporting the following torture test failures, as you requested.

 25: torture.at:48 FAILED near `torture.at:76'
 38: compile.at:139 FAILED near `compile.at:155'
 46: semantics.at:91 FAILED near `semantics.at:103'
 55: semantics.at:359 FAILED near `semantics.at:364'

The testsuite log is attached.

The failures occurred while rebuilding autoconf with:
.....
on a RedHat 7.2, 686 system.

Running '$ cat /proc/version', produces:

Linux version 2.4.7-10 (address@hidden) (gcc version 2.96
20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98)) #1 Thu Sep 6 17:27:27 EDT 2001

I am trying to get kdevelop to run here. The program, mcopidl, turned up
missing while trying to build a program in the kdevelop environment. I
could not find the appropriate arts-devel rpm to match the installed
arts-2.2.2-2 package, so I tried building a new arts package. This
required a new version of autoconf (and possibly automake), so that's why
I'm trying to build autoconf.

All this trouble, and I don't need sound anyway!

        Sincerely,

                Tom Young
