[GNU Autoconf 2.57] testsuite: 40 failed

I downloaded GNU Autoconf 2.57 to a Red Hat 6.1
box (Linux kernel 2.2.12-20, glibc-2.1.2).

I ran:

./configure
make
make check

Attached is testsuite.log, and the output of find.

Meanwhile, autoconf seems to be working. This
appears to be a problem with the test suite.
