autoconf bug

Running './autogen.sh' on the latest gnome-utils from cvs on my Red Hat
9 Linux system gives:

checking ext2fs/ext2_io.h usability... no
checking ext2fs/ext2_io.h presence... yes
configure: WARNING: ext2fs/ext2_io.h: present but cannot be compiled
configure: WARNING: ext2fs/ext2_io.h: check for missing prerequisite
headers?

result

I do as I'm told, so I'm reporting this bug.
Let me know if you need me to run further tests.
