I got the following message running the configure script for LAM-MPI
version 7.0 on an intel RedHat 9.0 linux machine.

I was attempting to use intel compilers with the following flags:
CC=icc
FC=ifc
CFLAGS='-O2 -march=pentium4'
FFLAGS='-O3 -tpp7'
export CC FC CFLAGS FFLAGS
