bug in autoconf (Mac OSX 10.2.8)

I just downloaded the Python-2.3.2 tarball 
(http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.3.2/Python-2.3.2.tgz) onto my Mac 
OSX 10.2.8 system.  When I did ./configure, I got:
