configure gnu emacs (21.3.50) on Mac OS X 10.3

Dear People

I am installing Emacs (21.3.50) on my Apple running OS X 10.3.

I used the following configure command

%configure --without-x --enable-carbon-app

and received the following message in the output.

checking for sys/ioctl.h... yes
checking net/if.h usability... no
checking net/if.h presence... yes

My autoconf version is:-

autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.57

And my gcc version is:-
