Hmph, seems that you can ignore this.  Seems that it was a bug in the
inetutils configure.ac script after all, we improperly use
AC_CONFIG_LINKS.  Thanks!

Nope, that's a bug in configure.ac. It improperly uses AC_CONFIG_LINKS
at line 790. Older autoconfs allowed such usage. Recent versions,
however, require that the argument to AC_CONFIG_LINKS be a literal
string. I'll fix this later today.
