FYI
I am trying to compile & install opendx (dx-4.3.2) from the source code
on a linux box, .i.e.,
address@hidden dx-4.3.2]$ uname -a
Linux delta 2.4.20-20.9smp #1 SMP Mon Aug 18 11:32:15 EDT 2003 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux
And received the following message;
checking regexp.h usability... no
checking regexp.h presence... yes
configure: WARNING: regexp.h: present but cannot be compiled
configure: WARNING: regexp.h: check for missing prerequisite headers?
configure: WARNING: regexp.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##
configure: WARNING: ## Report this to address@hidden ##
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##
checking for regexp.h... yes
I also am trying to do the same thing on a solaris box, i.e.,
o734 milano:/net/milano/usr2/opendx/binaries/dx-4.3.2>uname -a
SunOS milano 5.8 Generic_108528-14 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
But could not continue because of the following after running
./configure --prefix=/net/milano/usr2/opendx/binaries/dx-4.3.2;
o734 milano:/net/milano/usr2/opendx/binaries/dx-4.3.2>make
mksh: Fatal error: Could not load Shell from `sh': Bad file number
Current working directory /usr2/opendx/binaries/dx-4.3.2
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all-recursive'
o734 milano:/net/milano/usr2/opendx/binaries/dx-4.3.2>echo $SHELL
/bin/csh
o734 milano:/net/milano/usr2/opendx/binaries/dx-4.3.2>
