The compile error can be found in config.log.  The linux/irda.h header
needs some other header to be included before, for necessary #defines or
typedefs.  Which ones I don't know; the linc maintainer should be able
to find this out and adjust the fourth argument of AC_CHECK_HEADERS
accordingly.
