I have not written any patch. I hope I'll get to it soon and post a
patch as another followup.
My previous mail contained an attachment, named
autoheader-guilty.patch, documenting the spot where the problem was
introduced, extracted from the history as archived in git.
I apologize for the confusion. I admit that sending a mail with one
attachment, named *.patch, which is _not_ a patch, was not nice.
