In general, you will have MUCH more success using binary mounts on cygwin.
~ Text mounts are just asking for problems, and to date, no one on this
list has been bothered enough by them to submit patches to make them work
cleanly.

I would suggest requesting at lame-dev <at> lists.sourceforge.net that
they upgrade to a newer autoconf.
