According to address@hidden on 8/10/2008 1:14 PM:
| I found a cygwin specific problem, see also
| http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2008-08/msg00308.html
| http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2008-08/msg00309.html
|
| There seems to be a problem with autoconf generated scripts when running
| the resulting configure on a text mount.
In general, you will have MUCH more success using binary mounts on cygwin.
~ Text mounts are just asking for problems, and to date, no one on this
list has been bothered enough by them to submit patches to make them work
cleanly.
| FILE *f = fopen ("conftest.val", "wb")
|
| the configure and build succeeds.
This particular patch has already been made, but in a different manner:
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=autoconf.git;a=commitdiff;h=78dc34
I would suggest requesting at lame-dev <at> lists.sourceforge.net that
they upgrade to a newer autoconf.
