Attached, against current git.

The log of the history is superficially complex, but as far as I can
see, that's only because of a number of systematic corrections of
various macro usages &c. over the years. As far as I can tell, it
mostly comes from:

I can only find one other authorial first person; the others I had
thought I found were in an attributed quotation.
