Can you post the corresponding snippets from config.log from the failed
build?  Most likely, this is a configuration issue on your end rather
than a bug in autoconf.

For example, I notice this message in your log:

configure: error:
*** These critical programs are missing or too old: gcc
*** Check the INSTALL file for required versions.

Maybe you should take care of that first :)
