Hark, Bash 2.05.0(1)-release's undo key behaves differently than
emacs'. In emacs, a say C-f will break the sequence and then you
start undoing the undos [for better or worse, I just complained about
the downside of this to gnu.emacs.bug]. Anyway, the man page doesn't
say undo is different than in emacs...
