Machine Type: i686-pc-cygwin

Bash Version: 2.05b
Patch Level: 0
Release Status: release

Description:
The key sequence C-xC-e used to invoke readline's internal line editor
on the current line. In 2.05a/b,
possibly earlier (I'm not sure what version this appeared in), the
sequence instead invokes the editor named by $EDITOR, or emacs. The variable
        $FCEDIT is ignored.

Repeat-By:
        Type C-xC-e at a prompt.
