Machine Type: ia64-hp-hpux11.23

Bash Version: 3.0
Patch Level: 16
Release Status: release

Description:
The "bind" clear-screen function "\C-l" does not work on hpux11.23
It seem to be some incompatibilty between the libcurses that HP
ships on this platform and readline.

Repeat-By:
        - Start bash
        - Press "\C-l"

Since I don't have HP/UX machines, nor am I likely to get some, someone
with access to a problem machine will have to dig a little deeper.
