export PATH=/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/pkg/*/binWhile it may seem unnecessary to some, it is becoming a more frequently demanded feature. E.g., a new feature of the MANPATH variable as of man 1.5p is: "MANPATH items can now be set with an asterisk, which indicates that all possible dir-names are to be searched." Such a feature for BASH would be quite nifty :-)
If there is a patch for this, I'd appreciate anyone pointing me in the appropriate direction.
Thanks, - David
