This line:
if list; then list; [ elif list; then list; ] ... [ else list; ] fi
The words "list" are underlined. On the second one, the underline
includes the ";", which makes it indistinguishable from a ":" - at least
on a gnome terminal.
(Hey, I'm new at this. It confused me!)
