Sample:

This worked under previous bash versions (I use 5.0.3(1)-release):

testForkInput () {
    local line 
    while read line ;do
        echo "$line" 
    done < <(
        sed 's/^/> /'
    )
}

But with 5.1.0(1)-beta, I have to replace this with:

testForkInput () {
    local dup line
    exec {dup}<&0
    while read line ;do
        echo "$line"
    done < <(
        sed 's/^/> /' <&$dup
    )
    exec {dup}>&-
}

testForkInput < <(seq 1 5)
> 1
> 2
> 3
> 4
> 5
