Anyhow, could you try the development version of CVS and let me know if it works for you?I tried the anonymous CVS pserver to get the source but unfortunately my company's firewall is currently blocking port 2401. Is there any other way to get an appropriate development version? IT said that I could submit a request form to use the port but they won't be able to get to it until next week.
If your company is letting the SSH port (22) through, you can create a tunnel to cvs.cvshome.org. The syntax is something like `ssh -l<someport>:cvs.cvshome.org:2401 tunnel@cvshome.org', password `tunnel'. Then use a CVSROOT of `:pserver:anonymous@localhost:<someport>/cvs' (the same as you would have used before except the localhost:<someport> tunnel).
If I didn't get the incantation exactly right, it's available via the source code link in the top nav bar of the CVS project on cvshome.org (ccvs.cvshome.org).
Other than than, you'd need someone without a firewall to download it and mail a tarball to you, probably.
