Hello Derek, I'm the maintainer of the LinCVS project (www.lincvs.org). We have proted LinCVS to win32, but because we use Qt as toolkit we can't publish LinCVS for win32 under GPL. We could (like the trolls say) publish LinCVS under the LGPL. But we use a piece of code from CVS in our login function. And CVS is published under the GPL. Can you permit us to release our app under LGPL containing code from CVS or see you problems? Best regards, Tilo
Tilo,If it were my choice, I would let you. Unfortunately, CVS has quite a few people with copyright stakes in it and tracking them all down to ask would most likely present some difficulty.
Everyone else,Anyone know if there is any significance to the copy of the GNU LGPL distributed in the COPYING.LIB file in the top level of the CVS source distribution? The few source files I peeked at all specify the General Public License.

Did you run off with the senator's wife? I like to think that you killed a man. It's the romantic in me. - Claude Rains as Captain Louis Renault, _Casablanca_
