You are still correct about this one. I just haven't had time to verify that your fix is correct.

Strange Thing 3: People are perplexed why you don't use the
Attic, while as far as you can tell, you've set everything up in
the most logical manner possible.

The Attic is just an optimization for people who do most of their work on the trunk. This is the mosty general case. You are perplexed, apparently, because you don't fit this mold.
